WF European Talent Search
The WF Talent Search was launched in March 2008 to discover the new hottest talents around. Open to both solo artists and bands (signed or unsigned), the WF Talent Search is unique in its purpose to discover original and ground-breaking artists. Staying true in the spirit of the WF music policy and Gilles' passion for eclectic music, this search spans across many genres; Progressive Indie Rock, Folk, Samba, Soul, Jazz, Funk, Latin, Afro Beat, Electronica, Techno, House, Electro, Hip Hop, Dub, Reggae, Drum&Bass, R&B, Breaks, Neo Soul, New Jazz, Dubstep and everything else in between the lines of quality music promoted by Gilles.
The WF Talent Search both in Europe and Asia has put in the spotlight previous winners like Emily Chick (08), Beatspoke (09) and SantaMonica (Asia 09). Santamonica got signed by JVC-Victor Japan and released a brilliant album "Curiouser and Curiouser" in Japan in 2009. But we have not just been impressed by the winners. An artist like "fLako" who took part in the talent Search last year has been another great discovery. Living in both Berlin and London fLako is one of Europe's top producers at the moment. In 2009, his take on the Robot Koch produced track "Vortex Cookies" with Cerebral Vortex on vocal duties has been championed by The Gaslamp Killer, HudMo and many more and even got labelled "Track of the year" by Jay Scarlett (Spacek Soundsystem).

Still finding it hard to get your music heard? The biggest search to unearth the next big thing is back and this could be your gateway to success as Gilles Peterson & Worldwide Festival are out to discover the hottest talent around.
To fully validate your entry you have to
- Fill the registration form below.
- Submit the form, select your "Vote for Me" Widget/ voting button and post it on your online profiles (MySpace, Blogs, Facebook, etc) *.
- Send your network to vote for you via the widget.
* Ensure your online profiles provide access to your original tracks or even videos of your live performances for the pub lic to have a listen or see.
Last year many participants created their own WF talent search event on Facebook to invite people to vote for them and it proved to be very efficient.

A shortlist of the Top 20 most highly rated acts by the public will be presented to a panel of top music industry experts led by Gilles Peterson. The selected winning act will then perform live at the Worldwide Festival Sete which will take place on the 8th-11th of July 2010.
