An emblematic figure of the trip-hop scene at the dawn of the 21st century with the trio Troublemakers – whose album "Doubts & Convictions" is a classic of the genre, Marseille-based Lionel Corsini, aka DJ Oil, began mixing at a very young age, surrounded by his father's vinyl collection, who was a great collector; DJ Oil developed his influences and musical directions until the release of his first solo album, Black Notes, in 2012. Nourished by electro as well as groove, jazz, hip-hop, and African music, the musician, producer, composer, and activist DJ has absorbed the vibrations of this world that he has traveled for years.
On 5th July at 3pm, Lionel, who could be considered a regular at Worldwide Festival , will join us at La Ola to deliver a musical retrospective of his career from his beginnings with Troublemakers to his latest releases – including the fantastic "Rise Of A Cosmic Dancer" released last September on the Tangential Music rec label.
