As a young musician, Emma Jean Thackray fascinates us; she’s dazzling with freshness and talent. We love the candor she shows whether behind the decks (check the video of her set at La Ola last year for our closing party), as a recording artist or while performing live with her band.
We strongly advise you to listen to her album “Yellow” released on her (pas his) own label (and distributed by WARP rec) or to “Black Hole” with Reggie Watts that was released on Brownswood last November and of course her latest album "Weirdo" out last april. Emma-Jean Thackray is an artist that we are delighted to see grow and establish herself as a reference who counts in the same way as Ezra Collective or Yussef Dayes.
