Beverly Glenn-Copeland

Wednesday 1st of July - Théâtre de la Mer

Living legend born in Philadelphia in 1944, Beverly Glenn-Copeland is a composer, singer, and trailblazing figure in the trans community. After decades in obscurity, his cult album Keyboard Fantasies (1986), recorded on synthesizers in the wilds of northern Canada, was rediscovered in 2015, launching this visionary artist into the spotlight well past 70. His music fuses jazz, folk, ambient, and electronic sounds, embodying a radiant belief: that music can tear down the walls between us. Deeply spiritual and disarmingly genuine, Beverly Glenn-Copeland delivers performances of stirring beauty, carried by his hypnotic baritone and an infectious zest for life. An exceptional concert we're incredibly proud to present exclusively on the stage of Théâtre de La Mer.
